River Forecast

As you can see from the pictures below, the river remains high, but should stay steady. This is from the River Watch website posted Wednesday, May 2:

"With the forecast cool and dry weather for the province, melting of the snow pack in northern areas is expected to be slow. Most interval lands and meadows along the lower St. John River and its tributaries remain water covered.

"In response to the weather so far this week, water flows and levels have been fairly steady. Based on the forecast weather, these trends are expected to continue for the forecast period. In the lower St. John River basin, water levels have leveled off and should remain steady with only minor fluctuations."

I heard last weekend that a couple of boat owners were considering launching on Friday. Does anyone know what the plans are? Looks like it would be pretty wet!
